Payout rate is the percentage of your stake that the platform pays you as profit when your trade is In the Money (correct). A 90% payout on a $10 stake means $9 profit — plus your original $10 returned — for a total of $19. An incorrect trade loses the full $10 stake.

The payout rate is displayed in the trade panel before you confirm. This is the definitive rate for that specific contract — check it every time.

The Breakeven Calculation
At every payout rate, there is a minimum win rate you must achieve just to avoid losing money over time:

At 80% payout you must win more than 55.6 trades out of every 100 just to break even. This is the mathematical foundation of every binary options strategy assessment.
What Affects Payout Rate
Asset: Major forex pairs typically offer higher payouts than exotic pairs or commodities.
Time of day: Payout rates are usually higher during peak market hours (London session, New York session, their overlap) and lower during off-peak hours when liquidity is thinner.
Account tier (some platforms): Some brokers offer higher payouts to traders at higher deposit tiers. AtlantTrade is an exception — 92% applies to all accounts regardless of deposit size.
OTC assets: Weekend over-the-counter assets typically carry lower payout rates than their exchange-traded equivalents.
Always Check the Live Rate
The advertised maximum payout (e.g. «up to 92%») applies under optimal conditions. The actual rate displayed in the trade panel at the moment of entry is what matters. Do not trade based on the advertised maximum — check the live displayed rate before every trade.
