Quotex
We opened a real account, deposited our own money, and tracked every trade and withdrawal. Here is what we actually found.
Expert Verdict
Quotex is a functioning platform that pays the majority of withdrawals. It is also an unregulated offshore platform with documented user complaints and an expired self-claimed license. Both things are true simultaneously, and traders need to weigh both before depositing.
- Fast, clean platform — well-executed interface
- $10 minimum deposit — among the lowest in the segment
- 400+ assets including OTC available on weekends

Top Broker Picks for 2026
Three platforms that ranked highest in our real-account testing this year.
Quotex runs entirely in the browser — no download required. The interface loads quickly and offers a clean, uncluttered layout that works equally well on desktop and mobile. Execution is near-instant (under 1 second in testing), and switching between assets or adjusting expiry time is frictionless.
Platform and trading environment
Quotex was launched in 2019 and has attracted a large user base on the strength of its interface and low entry threshold. The web platform runs entirely in a browser, loads quickly, and offers near-instant execution — consistently under one second in our testing across multiple sessions. There is no software to install and no separate download required.
The asset catalog covers 400+ instruments: 100+ forex pairs, cryptocurrencies, major indices, commodities, and selected large-cap stocks. OTC instruments — available on weekends outside standard exchange hours — are priced internally by Quotex, without an external reference feed. There is no independent way to verify OTC quotes against market prices.
Charts include four types (line, candlestick, bar, Heiken Ashi), 14 timeframes, and 30+ indicators including EMA, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, and Fibonacci retracement tools. The built-in signals feature claims 87% accuracy — this figure is not independently verified. In testing, timing discrepancies between signal generation and actual price at entry were observed on short expiries. Treat signals as secondary context, not a decision-making basis.
There is no MetaTrader integration, no copy trading, and no automated trading tools. The education section contains a basic help center and some overview articles — it is not a structured learning resource. Traders who need guided educational content should consider Olymp Trade, which provides the strongest educational offering in this segment.
Payout rates — what Standard account holders actually receive
The advertised payout of 95–98% applies to VIP-tier accounts. Standard account holders — those depositing the $10 minimum — encounter different figures in practice. During our June 2026 testing on a Standard account, live payout rates were:
EUR/USD London session peak: 88–91%. EUR/USD off-peak: 78–84%. BTC/USD peak: 83–86%. Gold (XAU/USD) peak: 80–83%.
At an 83% payout, the mathematical breakeven win rate is 54.7%. At 80% (off-peak), it rises to 55.6%. This means you must be correct on more than 54–56 out of every 100 trades just to avoid losing money over time at Standard tier — before accounting for the variance in individual sessions.
Always check the live displayed payout rate before entering a trade. Rates change throughout the trading session based on liquidity and market conditions. The headline advertised figure does not reflect what most traders will actually receive.
Fees — what the terms say versus what the headlines say
This is the section that most Quotex reviews omit entirely, and it contains information that directly affects the cost of trading.
From Quotex’s own published FAQ: Deposits are free. The first two withdrawals within a single 24-hour period are free. From the third withdrawal within the same day onward, a 3% commission applies to each subsequent transaction. This fee is deducted automatically and is not prominently displayed in promotional materials.
The minimum withdrawal for most payment systems is $10. For cryptocurrencies, the minimum starts at $50 — and may be higher for specific currencies such as Bitcoin. This is five times the headline minimum and affects traders who prefer to transact in digital assets.
For traders making one or two withdrawals per day, the 3% rule will not apply. For traders who make multiple withdrawals within a single session — to test different methods, for example, or to move funds across wallets — this cost adds up quickly and should be factored into any calculation of net return.
Withdrawals and verification — the fine print matters
Quotex’s own terms state: ‘When it comes to the withdrawal of a sufficiently large amount, the Company may request verification at the Company’s sole discretion.’ There is no defined threshold. This means verification requirements are determined unilaterally, can be applied without warning, and add up to 5 business days to the withdrawal process.
Verification documents required may include: color scan of passport, selfie with document, proof of residential address. After documents are submitted, processing takes up to 5 business days.
In our testing: small USDT withdrawals processed within 2–4 hours. Card withdrawals took 2–4 business days. A test withdrawal of $350 triggered a verification request, adding 3 additional days to the process. This was despite KYC documents having been submitted at registration.
Practical guidance: complete KYC verification proactively before your first withdrawal. Test the withdrawal process with a small amount before moving larger sums. Avoid accumulating significant balances — withdraw profits regularly. If a withdrawal shows ‘Completed’ status in the dashboard but funds have not arrived, the delay is typically on the receiving end; contact support after 3 business days with the transaction ID.
Regulation and legal status
Quotex is operated by ON SPOT GROUP LLC, registered in St. Kitts and Nevis. Its previous IFMRRC (International Financial Market Relations Regulation Center) registration has expired. The IFMRRC is not a government financial regulator — it is a private certification body with no enforcement authority over client funds or ability to compel the broker to act. Its expiry means Quotex currently has no recognized regulatory claim of any kind.
The Financial Commission — the body Quotex previously cited for client dispute resolution — issued a formal warning stating Quotex is ‘suspected of engaging in deceptive practices intended to mislead or defraud investors.’ The Financial Commission subsequently expelled Quotex from its membership. The body that was previously the only external escalation path for Quotex clients is no longer available.
Italy’s Consob issued a separate formal warning against a Quotex-related entity for providing investment services without required authorization.
The practical implication is direct: if a withdrawal is refused, an account is restricted, or a trade outcome is disputed, there is no government regulator, compensation fund, or independent arbitration body a Quotex client can turn to. The only available channel is Quotex’s own internal support team — the same party to any potential dispute.
This does not mean every trade or withdrawal will be problematic. Quotex’s operational record is mixed — most routine transactions process without issue. What it means is that when problems occur, the options for resolution outside the platform itself are essentially zero.
